It’s with a heavy heart that I’ll be saying goodbye to friends and colleagues in Exeter and around Devon, as my wife and I are moving to the West Midlands. I’ve lived in or just outside Exeter for 6 years, and have made some great friends and become involved in a great community, through volunteer and charity work, as well as through my photography.
I’ll be continuing my photography in the West Midlands, and I hope as well to continue to come down to Exeter to be a part of documenting the vibrant Steampunk scene in the South West. There are far too many people to mention, but do I owe a great deal of thanks to Fey Pink of The Mysterious Freakshow for asking me to photograph the Steampunk events in Exeter, which got me involved with great people and great bands. I also owe thanks to Exeter Community Initiatives, a valued local charity that I’ve done charity and photography work for for a few years.
But there’s new challenges ahead, and an equally vibrant business, charity and Steampunk community in and around Birmingham, Worcestershire and Herefordshire that I’ll be getting involved with. I’m looking forward to sinking my teeth into new jobs, and exploring the towns and countryside of Herefordshire & Worcestershire. Watch this space for continuing blogs and photographs!
There are far too many to put them all up, but above you’ll find a few of my favourite photographs of the people and places around Exeter and Devon. Thank you, Exeter, you’ve been a good home. Will see you again soon.
