Photos from my life during the lockdown Part 5
Since the UK is now under a travel restriction lockdown, I’m not able to take photos for my clients. So I’m documenting my time, working and living, with photos I’ve taken from inside my home and in the garden and on my once-daily exercise, walking my dogs: Photos from inside a lockdown. This is Part 5. You can see Part 1 here, Part 2 here, Part 3 here, Part 4 here, Part 6 here, Part 7 here, Part 8 here, Part 9 here, Part 10 here, Part 11 here, Part 12 here, Part 13 here, Part 14 here.
Like so many of us I’m still working a fairly regular week – at my computer in the morning Monday to Friday after breakfast to edit photos for this project, to learn and work on other parts of my business. This is a rare self-portrait.
Household chores still need doing, and when I take the dogs out for our afternoon exercise in the woods near Ledbury, I still occasionally meet other dog walkers I’ve know for years, with everyone keeping a safe distance – this is Donna with Max. (There are times when I envy the dogs – being able to fall asleep anywhere and any time)
We’ve had a beautiful few days, with lovely evening sunshine pouring through the back garden and into the house. And with the clear evenings we’ve had I’ve continued to explore the night sky with my telescope.
The day often ends with gaming on the computer with friends in Germany – our computers and phones have become essential to our mental well-being, allowing us to work, play and socialise with friends and family. Our lives are increasingly spent in the virtual world, but the real world is still there waiting for us to be able to explore it again.
In the meantime, stay home, stay healthy and protect yourselves and everyone else.
