Photos from my life during the lockdown Part 6
Since the UK is now under a travel restriction lockdown, I’m not able to take photos for my clients. So I’m documenting my time, working and living, with photos I’ve taken from inside my home and in the garden and on my once-daily exercise, walking my dogs: Photos from inside a lockdown. This is Part 6. You can see Part 1 here, Part 2 here, Part 3 here, Part 4 here, Part 5 here, Part 7 here, Part 8 here, Part 9 here, Part 10 here, Part 11 here, Part 12 here, Part 13 here, Part 14 here.
Staying at home so much more under these circumstances has made me look again at many of the normal objects and scenes inside the house, and made me more appreciative of the beauty that I see inside and outside – I’m seeing little scenes and compositions in the way things are arranged or fall in my home.
Regular activities, like making the vegetable part of our dog’s food, preparing to go for a walk or the scenes out in the woods and fields where I take my daily exercise with the dogs all have become things I’ve taken extra notice of. I continue to regularly see other dog walkers that I’ve known for years, only now we have to stay far apart when we cross paths – this is Kathleen with Dodger.
This body of work is partly meant to bring attention to a change in how we see the familiar things around us – having to remain for such an extended time in a smaller space – and how we now have to interact with others from a distance. I hope it speaks to you viewing it and maybe inspires you to look closer at the beauty in your own home.
In the meantime, stay home, stay healthy and protect yourselves and everyone else.
