Photos from inside a lockdown Part 9

Photos from my life during the lockdown Part 9

Since the UK is now under a travel restriction lockdown, I’m not able to take photos for my clients. So I’m documenting my time, working and living, with photos I’ve taken from inside my home and in the garden and on my once-daily exercise, walking my dogs: Photos from inside a lockdown. This is Part 9. You can see Part 1 here, Part 2 here, Part 3 here, Part 4 here, Part 5 here, Part 6 here, Part 7 here, Part 8 here, Part 10 here, Part 11 here, Part 12 here, Part 13 here, Part 14 here.

Our warm and sunny weather has left us again, but it was lovely to have the doors and windows open, and to be able to enjoy fresh air-dried laundry and sitting in the garden with my boys and a good book.

All the warm sunshine has energised the wildflowers in the woods – sweet woodruff is featured this time (it seems the white flowered plants make the best woodland drifts!) – and our urban meadow in the backyard is coming along, with bugle, speedwell, daisys and more flowering so far.

This body of work is partly meant to bring attention to a change in how we see the familiar things around us – having to remain for such an extended time in a smaller space – and how we now have to interact with others from a distance. I hope it speaks to you viewing it and maybe inspires you to look closer at the beauty in your own home.

In the meantime, stay home, stay healthy and protect yourselves and everyone else.
