In October 2015 and January 2016, I took photographs for Birmingham based artists General Public (Elizabeth Rowe and Chris Poolman) that they used in a touring exhibition: The Hop Project. My brief was to capture images of agricultural sculpture – the polytunnel covered fields around Ledbury, Herefordshire, and fields of hop wires and hop wire frames left after the hop harvest.
The project toured the West Midlands and Wales through 2017.
Since The Hop Project photos, General Public have asked me to document the Hop Project exhibits at the library in Tipton, Birmingham, The Hive Library in Worcester, Courtyard Arts in Hereford, and the MAG in Birmingham; as well as photographing the parade they organised as a part of the Longbridge Light Festival. In the summer of 2017 they asked me to take photographs of the cast on the set of a movie they’re producing.
